How Not to Sell

How Not to Sell

The approach of finding your natural rhythm and go with the flow will create more success in sales, than remembering a series of canned lines and manipulations.  Start by building a relationship.  Your customers will respond best when you genuinely want to help them, not sell them.  This is the natural and easy approach to selling more.

Here are some proven strategies for getting started with those relationships.

  • Timing is important.  After you’ve done a great job for your current customers, ask if there is anyone else inside or outside the company that can benefit from your services.

  • Become active in your community.  Being involved in your community is a great way to become known and grow your business.  People like to refer business to others who are helping in the community.

  • Form alliances with people who serve the same target market but are not direct competitors.

Think about who you trust with your business.  Why do you trust them?  Do your customers feel the same way about you?  They should.
